Does religion make you legally immune?

in the us people are suing MacDonald's for getting fat, supermarkets for falling down the stairs, yet camping is still allowed to say anything even if a lot of people gave away all of there belongings because of what he said, a mother tried to kill her daughters and herself because she was afraid she will not make to heaven, a woman in russia killed herself. if you put it in a religious perspective can you say absolutely anything regardless of the effect it has on others and be completely immune from a legal perspective?
