Canadian history PLEASE HELP ASAP?

i need to know important things that john a Macdonald had to do with the candadian pacific railway, we have a project on who we should give a plaque to for being the most important to the railway and my group picked macdonald ! please it doesent have to be a whole story, just a list of things !
